Ceremony Music
Your ceremony is where the day stops being a plan. The walk down the aisle. Your vows. The signing. The cheer as you walk back up the aisle together. We play it all live on strings, harp or vocals, and the goosebumps arrive with the first notes.
Reception Music
Reception dance floors are our specialty, and the brief is always the same: pack the dance floor. Choose a DJ Combo, where we play live for drinks and canapés, dinner and your first dance, then hit the decks. Or go all in with a live band, anywhere up to a Nine-Piece Band.
Ceremony and Reception Packages
Most Sydney couples book us for the ceremony as well as the reception. We play you down the aisle, then we're the ones getting your guests dancing that night, so the feeling of the day carries all the way through.

Bigger bands add musicians one at a time. A Four-Piece Band adds keys, a Five-Piece Band adds a second singer, and a Six-Piece Band adds sax. Don't skip the sax: it changes everything.

Why Do Sydney Couples Choose Red Soda?
You choose the singer you love. Your Band Manager confirms your singer is available, then we build the band around that voice, with musicians who play together every weekend.
Sydney is where we started. We're full-time and degree-qualified, from schools including Juilliard, Berklee and the Royal College of Music, and some of us have played with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
We've played some big stages. Stevie Wonder, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, Kylie Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Michael Bublé, Daft Punk, Hugh Jackman, Sir Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie. At your wedding, all of that goes into one night: yours.
We turn up. We've never missed a wedding we were booked for.
Can I See Red Soda Perform Before I Book?
Yes. There's over 30 hours of video of us in the Package Builder: singers, strings and full bands.
We used to run live showcases, but as we got busier they started getting in the way of real weddings. So we poured that energy into filming instead.
Couples love exploring it. Many spend 20 to 30 minutes watching and trying different combinations, with 100+ to choose from.

How much does a wedding band cost in Sydney?
Ceremony music starts from $750 and reception music from $2,170, with travel to most Sydney venues included. Both together start from $2,600, and a live band from $3,200 for a Three-Piece Band. The Package Builder shows the price of your combination instantly. All prices include GST.
How long does a wedding band play for?
A Red Soda reception booking runs over five hours. We play live throughout, with our Spotify playlist (or your own) in the breaks, so the dance floor never goes quiet. That covers drinks and canapés, dinner, your first dance and the dance floor, and your Band Manager shapes the timing around your speeches and cake, so every big moment lands with live music.
Should we book a band or a DJ?
You don't have to choose. With our DJ Combos, we play live for drinks and canapés, dinner and your first dance, then hit the decks for the dance floor. Want more energy? Add live sax right among your guests. Want the full live show? Book a band.
Can one band play our ceremony and reception?
Yes, and most Sydney couples book us for both. One booking can cover your ceremony, drinks and canapés, dinner and dance floor. Book them together and a package discount is applied automatically in the Package Builder. It's one less thing to worry about.
How far in advance should we book a Sydney wedding band?
As soon as your venue is confirmed. We're often booked up to 12 months ahead, and Saturday nights are always snapped up first. You don't need your songs yet: they're due 8 weeks before the day. If your wedding is sooner, it's still worth asking.
Can we choose our own songs?
Yes. Choose your songs for the walk down the aisle, the signing and your first dance, and we'll play them live. Our bands are very flexible on song choices. On strings, we play from almost 1,000 arrangements written exclusively by us, and new ones can be added with enough notice.
Do you play outdoor ceremonies?
Yes, all the time. Strings and harp play unamplified and need no power. When we sing, we bring our own sound system and need power within 3 metres. Our instruments can't play in rain or harsh Aussie sun, so give us a covered, shaded spot and a wet-weather backup.
Does Red Soda travel outside Sydney?
Yes. We play the Hunter Valley, Southern Highlands, Blue Mountains, South Coast and beyond. Further afield, we also play destination weddings in Byron Bay, Hamilton Island and Bali. Each region has its own page with the venues we know and what to plan for. Ferries, accommodation and paid parking are added on top when they apply, and your Band Manager will let you know up front.
